Mary joined Harrison Goddard Foote in 1997 from the trade marks department of a large international law firm. Her brief was to oversee and build up the firm’s trade mark business, which now forms a substantial part of HGF’s practice. The firm’s trade mark group now boasts six dedicated trade mark professionals and four others, as well as a strong formalities team.
Mary deals with all aspects of trade mark law including the filing and prosecution of UK, foreign, International and Community trade mark applications and oppositions, clearance searching in the UK and elsewhere and the management and exploitation of trade mark portfolios. She also advises clients on trade mark enforcement, infringement and disputes. Another of Mary’s areas of expertise is that of advising on and filling registered designs.
