Chief Executive
Paul has been HGF’s Chief Executive since 2004 and Managing Partner of our sister law firm, HGF Law since 2002. Paul is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England & Wales and has specialised in intellectual property law since 1991. He advises clients on the commercial aspects of intellectual property including national and international licensing, technology transfer and portfolio management, as well as on dispute resolution including mediation, and national and cross-border litigation in relation to patents, trademarks, designs and copyright, know-how and confidential information.
Examples of his work include acting for Generics (UK) Ltd in the Patents Court when revoking Glaxo’s patent for its SERETIDE inhaler composition; advising a US multinational in patent infringement proceedings relating to power transfer units used in the Airbus A320 range of aircraft; advising a UK manufacturer on numerous multi-million pound licensing and supply contracts with various global pharmas in the field of injection systems.
