Harry’s current practice spans telecommunications, electronics, computer architecture and software related inventions.
Harry entered the profession following a period in industry working for a plc as a technical manager, and Mercury One-to-One as an RF engineer.
Harry trained at as a patent and trade mark attorney and developed an understanding of the relationship between intellectual property and computer related inventions. In particular, Harry developed an in-depth knowledge of the patentability of computer software within European and USA jurisdictions. During this period, Harry drafted and prosecuted patent applications in disciplines spanning the full breadth of technology.
In 1996, Harry joined a large commercial law firm, to complement the technical capabilities in the firm’s patents practice. While there Harry qualified as both a European and UK Patent Attorney.
In 2000, Harry joined Harrison Goddard Foote as a partner in the Sheffield office. Harry is a member of the CIPA Computer Technology Committee and was a panellist on the CIPA Computer Technology Seminar.
